Step 1: Laying the Groundwork 🎩

🕒 Approx. 3 Minutes


Start by preparing your toolkit: Gather a Sharpie, sticky notes, colourful paper, and a hat or bowl to place your affirmations in. For virtual teams, a digital spin wheel or randomizer will do the trick.


You will also need to set up a leaderboard in a common area or online. The leaderboard will have all players' names and a section for them to tally their activities. The board is maintained as an honour system. 


Now, craft 6+ affirmations focused on building Change Management and Leadership capabilities.


Here are a few 🥚-xamples to get you started: 

  • I lead with courage and help others feel brave too.
  • I use feedback to get better and help my team do the same.
  • I stay flexible in my tactical approach and focused on the strategic vision.
  • I listen to my team and make sure everyone can share their concerns and ideas.
  • I show how I grow from challenges, so my team feels encouraged to try too.
  • I bring different people and ideas together because it makes us better at solving problems.

Choose affirmations that are relevant to the Leadership capabilities your workplace needs. These will serve as guiding stars throughout the challenge. 

Step 2: Rally Your Team for the Challenge 👩‍👩‍👧‍👦

Now, it's time to gather your team and 🥚-xplain the challenge: 


🎯 Goal:The heart of this challenge is to enhance our leadership and change management skills in a fun and engaging way. By focusing on specific affirmations, we'll develop resilience, adaptability, and innovative thinking — essential qualities for leading change. 


⏳ Duration:This stage sets the stage for a week-long Leadership Development journey. But first, let’s take about 15 minutes to kick things off together. 


💪 Actions:Each participant will draw an affirmation, which will serve as their personal mantra and action guide for the week. Whether you're meeting in-person or online, ensure everyone understands the affirmation they draw and its impact on leading change. 


Then we brainstorm a checklist of 3 observable behaviours that will bring our affirmations to life. 

Here is an 🥚-xample for the first affirmation I lead with courage and help others feel brave too. 

Today, did I take the initiative in a difficult situation? Yes, and here is my tick 

Have I praised a team member for trying a new approach, even if it didn't lead to immediate success? No, well then there is no tick 

Did I openly discuss what went wrong throughout the day without placing blame? Yes, well there is another run on the board.

🏆 Prize:Set up daily reminders for players to tally and track progress on a leaderboard. At the end of the challenge, we’ll celebrate our collective growth and achievements. The participant who most effectively embodies their affirmation, demonstrating consistent effort and inspiring change within the team, will receive — our "🥚-ceptional Change Leader" award. This isn’t just about competition; it's a way to acknowledge progress and the positive impact we can have on each other. 

Step 3: Dive Into the Challenge, 🥚-citing Times Ahead! 🥇

Alright team, let’s crack into the heart of our 1-2-3-Easter Egg Challenge! This week is all about growth, teamwork, and a bit of fun. Here’s how we’re going to roll: 


Start Each Day with Your 🥚-xtra Special Affirmation:Every morning, take a moment to think about your affirmation. It’s like your secret sauce for the day. Ask yourself, "How can I bring this into my work today?" This is all about lighting up our path to being awesome change leaders. 


Keep Track of Your Adventures:Got a win? Big or small, jot it down on our leaderboard! Whether you tried something new or gave a teammate a boost, it’s a golden🥚. This isn’t just about keeping score; it’s about seeing how far we’ve hopped together. 


Share and Care with Your Team:Let’s make our check-ins the highlight of the day! Share your ups and downs and what you learned along the way. It’s like gathering around the Easter basket and seeing what goodies we’ve all brought. This is how we grow stronger as a team. 


Wrap Up the Week with a Celebration:When the week winds down, we’ll gather around (virtually or not) and share our journey. What surprised you? What did you learn? This is our moment to pat ourselves on the back and cheer each other on. 


Spotlight on Success: We’ll shine a light on the great stuff we’ve done. Every step forward is worth celebrating. And remember, this is just the beginning. There’s always more to learn and more ways to grow.
